Colchester business brings shoe-shining to the modern era
IT may remain a quaint and charming practice confined to the Victorian age, but one Colchester entrepreneur is bidding to bring shoe-shining back to the fore. Gareth Tansey, who set up Dr G’s Sneaker Laundry from his garden shed in 2020, now operates a shop in Colchester High Street.

What a fantastic service! I dropped off two pairs of Axel Arigato trainers —one with a tear in the heel and another which were in a really bad way. To my amazement, both pairs came back looking as good, as new (Tear in the heal repaired). I couldn't be happier with the results.
